How to Buy Crypto with a Card on Axiom
Axiom sells SOL by card through Coinbase, inside the terminal: up to $500 a week with no identity checks, delivered straight to your Axiom wallet. Here is the whole flow and what to expect from it.

When a card purchase makes sense
A card is the quickest way to fund a new account when you don't hold crypto anywhere else, or when you want a small top-up without moving money through an exchange. The trade-off is price: card purchases carry Coinbase's fee and spread, so for larger sums, buying SOL on an exchange and depositing it usually works out cheaper.
Open the Buy tab

Click the wallet button in the top right corner, the one with your SOL and USDC balance, then press Deposit. The Exchange window opens with three tabs: Convert, Deposit and Buy. Choose Buy.

Enter the amount and pay
- Type how much SOL you want in the Buying box. The current SOL price and the dollar value appear underneath.
- Press Buy. A Coinbase window opens on top of Axiom.
- Enter the card details there and confirm. Coinbase shows the total, fee included, before you pay.
- Close the window once it confirms. The SOL arrives in your selected Axiom wallet, usually within a few minutes.

The $500 weekly limit
Without identity checks the cap is $500 a week. Larger amounts mean verifying with Coinbase, at which point it is often simpler to open a Coinbase account outright, buy there and send the SOL to Axiom on the Solana network. Either way, the money ends up in a wallet only you control; Axiom doesn't hold it. The Axiom exchange page sets that side by side with an account on a centralised exchange.
If the purchase fails
- Banks sometimes block card payments for crypto. A message from your bank's app usually means a one-tap approval and a retry.
- If Coinbase says the service isn't available where you live, card purchases won't work from that country. Buying on a local exchange and depositing is the fallback.
- If the card was charged but no SOL appeared after half an hour, contact Coinbase about the order first, then open an Axiom ticket on Discord if it still doesn't show.
Once the SOL lands, check that the selector says SOL and the balance has moved; the Axiom wallet guide covers what else that wallet can do.
