Axiom Perps
Axiom's spot side is built for memecoins. Its perps side is something else: perpetual futures on Hyperliquid, opened from the same account, with long and short, leverage and hourly funding. This page covers how to fund it, what a trade costs, where leverage bites, and when Hyperliquid's own app is the better door. Spot trades on the same account cost 20% less with code TradeNow.
Axiom Trade Invite Code: TradeNow
The Axiom Trade invite code is TradeNow. Axiom calls it a referral code. Enter it when you sign up and your trading fee drops by 20% for the life of the account, from 1% to 0.8% a trade.
If you are looking for an Axiom Trade invite code, use TradeNow. Type it into the referral field on the sign-up screen, or open axiom.trade/@tradenow and it is filled in for you. It is one of the most used Axiom codes, and it still works.
What are Axiom perps?
Axiom perps are perpetual futures on Hyperliquid, traded from the Perpetuals tab of an Axiom account. You fund them with USDC converted from SOL, choose long or short and a leverage, and Axiom adds 0.01% per trade to Hyperliquid's own fee.
The order book, the margin and the liquidations are Hyperliquid's. Axiom supplies the screen, the account and the conversion in and out.
| Venue | Hyperliquid |
|---|---|
| Collateral | USDC on Hyperliquid |
| Axiom's fee | 0.01% per trade |
| Hyperliquid's fee | 0.045% taker, 0.015% maker at the base tier |
| Funding | Paid every hour between longs and shorts |
| Leverage | Up to 50x in Axiom's docs; each market has its own cap |
| Withdrawal | Back to USDC on Solana in about 5 minutes |
Getting USDC Onto Hyperliquid
Perps need USDC sitting on Hyperliquid, and Axiom moves it there from your Solana balance. Click the SOL-USDC button at the top right, choose Swap, type the amount of SOL and press Convert. The same button runs the other way when you are done: convert USDC on Hyperliquid back and it lands as USDC on Solana after about five minutes.
Keep the perps balance separate in your head from the memecoin wallet. Axiom does: the portfolio shows perps in their own view, with account value, volume, PnL and open positions, so a good week on one side cannot hide a bad one on the other.
Placing a Perps Trade
Open the Perpetuals tab and pick a market. Choose long if you expect the price to rise or short if you expect it to fall, enter the size in USDC, set the leverage and confirm. Three tabs follow the result: Positions for what is open, Open Orders for orders still waiting, and Trades for everything filled, each with its PnL.
Attach a take profit and a stop loss when you enter. Perps positions on Axiom carry their own TP and SL, and on a leveraged position the stop is the only thing standing between a bad move and the liquidation price.
What a Perps Trade Costs
Two fees apply on each side of a trade: Hyperliquid's, which at the base tier is 0.045% for orders that take liquidity and 0.015% for orders that rest on the book, and Axiom's 0.01%. Opening and closing with market orders therefore costs about 0.11% of the position's size, a tenth of a single spot memecoin trade on Axiom. Hyperliquid's rates fall as your 14-day volume grows.
| Position size | Round trip | Axiom's part |
|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $1.10 | $0.20 |
| $10,000 | $11 | $2 |
| $100,000 | $110 | $20 |
The catch is that fees are charged on the position, not on your margin. At 10x, a 0.11% round trip is 1.1% of the money you put up, and holding the trade adds funding: paid every hour, from longs to shorts when the contract trades above its index and the other way when it trades below.
Leverage and Liquidation
Axiom's docs say it allows up to 50x. Hyperliquid sets a maximum for each market, between 3x and 40x according to its current docs, and that cap is what an order runs into. The higher you go, the closer the liquidation price sits to your entry.
A position is liquidated when the account's equity falls below the maintenance margin, half of the margin needed at maximum leverage, and Hyperliquid measures that against its mark price rather than the last trade. If the position cannot be closed on the order book in time, a backstop liquidation takes it and the maintenance margin is not returned. A stop loss that triggers before the liquidation price is how you keep that margin.
Axiom or Hyperliquid's Own App?
For someone who only trades perps, Hyperliquid's own app is the direct route and skips Axiom's 0.01%. Axiom earns its place when perps are one part of the day: the same account and screen that trade memecoins in Pulse, funding straight from SOL, and a portfolio that keeps both sides in view. On a $10,000 position the difference is $2 a round trip, which is small next to what one bad fill on a memecoin costs.

Axiom Perps — FAQ
Does Axiom have perpetual futures?
Yes. Axiom routes perpetual futures to Hyperliquid, and you trade them from the Perpetuals tab of the same account you use for spot.
What leverage does Axiom allow on perps?
Axiom's docs say up to 50x. Each Hyperliquid market has its own maximum, between 3x and 40x in Hyperliquid's current docs, and that limit applies.
What are Axiom's fees on perps?
Axiom charges 0.01% per trade on top of Hyperliquid's fee, which starts at 0.045% for taker orders and 0.015% for maker orders. Funding is paid separately every hour.
How do I deposit for Axiom perps?
Use the SOL-USDC button at the top right, choose Swap and convert SOL into USDC on Hyperliquid. Withdrawing reverses it, arriving as USDC on Solana in about five minutes.
Are Axiom perps and Hyperliquid perps the same?
Yes. The markets, margin and liquidations are Hyperliquid's; Axiom provides the interface and account and adds its 0.01% fee.
Can I lose more than my margin on Axiom perps?
A liquidation can take the whole margin on a position, and fees and funding are charged on its full size. Low leverage and a stop loss keep losses closer to what you planned.
